  • Grand Prize Winner of the National Geographic La Mer Photographic Competition. One of the top photography competitions in the world. Grand prize win to the value of $27,000 includes a National Geographic Photography expedition to Alaska for two, along with return airfares from Australia and all expenses.   • 1st Place Winner of the 2012 International Photography Awards “Nature – Underwater” Non-Professional Category. The winning photos were selected from over 15,000 entries from 103 countries.   • Awarded 2 Honorable Mentions in the 2012 International Photography Award’s highly contested “Environmental Editorial” Category and the “Feature Story and Photo Essay Editorial” Category for the photos accompanying the article “Misunderstood Stingrays” published in the Australian Geographic (March 2012)

 

  • Awarded 3 Honorable Mentions in the 2012 International Photography Award’s “Nature – Underwater” Category from over 15,000 entries from 103 countries.

 

  • 2 Photos Shortlisted for the Finals of the BBC/Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2012 award - 400 photos were shortlisted out of a record 48,000 entries from 98 different countries. The largest competition there is for professional wildlife photographers globally. Winners will be announced in November 2012

 

  • Winner (8th place) in the Nature’s Best Photography Magazine’s Ocean Views 2012 annual competition from over 10 thousand submitted photos from 79 countries. This is one of the most prestigious wildlife competitions and magazines in the world. Prize totaled $2000 worth of scuba diving gear

 

 

  • Semi-Finalist of the Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice Awards. Selected into the top 500 out of 25,000 photographers. Winners will be announced in November 2012.

 

  • Selected as one of the “World’s 50 Finest Underwater Macro Photographers” for the Collector’s Edition Fifty Fathoms Fine Arts Magazine. Released annually the magazine represents the elite of underwater photography.

 

  • Winner of the Ecology Society of Australia’s 2011 Annual photographic competition Ecology in Action. Judges Awards – Beautiful and bizarre – Biodiversity and landscapes of Australia Photo submitted titled: “Temperate Jetty Life”. 

 

  • Winner of the Liquid Capture: Masters of Underwater Photography 2012 Competition. Selected photo "Mother's Love" will be exhibited at the Oceanside Museum of Art from 28 April to 17 June 2012.
